She is famous as martial arts movie actress and stuntwoman in the 80's and 90's.

Her father is an accomplished economics journalist and her mother is model and teacher. She lives together with partner Jeff Pruitt and their two dogs Kato and Suki in Los Angeles. She gets an relation with martial artist/stunt coordinator Jeff Pruitt after he has invited her to become member of the ''The Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers'' stunt team.


She starts her own personal training business called SOPHIA-FIT where she trains clients one by one. She is currently President of the United Stuntwomen's Association. She also writes a monthly article for Maximized Fitness and Health Magazine Online.


She learns new skills during the training at the Big John McCarthy’s Ultimate Training Academy in Valencia (CA.). She does the ISSA CFT exam in order to become certified as fitness trainer. She went through a rebellious period when she was 12 years old after her mother died of cancer. She left England for a journey with the bus to India and travels through Europe, Turkey, Iran and Pakistan in 1986. She lives some time in India and Nepal before she moved to Thailand to work as print model and English teacher.


She is lucky when she teaches english to the Hong Kong crew of Jean-Claude Van Damme's movie "Kickboxer". She talks with crew members who tell her that she better can go to Hong Kong for a movie career.


She moves to Hong Kong (a British colony in that time) and begins to work in the action movie industry. She searched in the Hong Kong phone directory for movie studios and discovers that she must have martial arts skills in order to make it in Hong Kong.


She is trained in taekwondo, kung fu, wushu and kickboxing and trains with sword,  staff and kali. She trains under the wings of Hong Kong’s well-known female action star Yukari Ôshima before she joins the Yukari’s Funky Action Crew.


She trains her stunts skills with the best names in business for a period of 5 years. She joins the Asian Stunt team as first western woman and trains with the stuntmen of the Jackie Chan stunt group. She has earned a reputation as female top fighter in Hong Kong and moves to Hollywood when Hong Kong is handed over to the Chinese government.

She made her action movie debut as ninja in "ninja phantom heroes'' (1987) and played an short role as Susan in ''The Cyprus Tigers'' (1990).


She plays Miss So next to Siu-Ho Chin, Moon Lee and Chia-Liang Liu in ''New Killers In Town'' (1990). Two brothers get troubles when they disturb a drug transaction of the Triads in the streets of Hong Kong.
